Previous back surgery MTBs, come in!

Has anyone with a history of back surgery asked their OB or ortho about labor pain relief? What was the response? (And what kind of surgery did you have - hardware, no hardware, what level or levels?)

Obviously I will ask my OB, but I'm curious to know what others have heard or experienced.

My surgery was a laminotomy, left-sided, L3-L4, uncomplicated recovery, 2 years ago. No hardware. I also have herniations at L4-L5 and L5-S1 which are currently mostly asymptomatic post-PT and steroids. Feel free to chime in regardless of what kind of back surgery you had of course!
