second-time nursers, how does it compare?

I had a really easy time nursing DD, we breastfed on demand, and I was able to pump and stash enough for her while I was at work that we never needed formula. She also nursed til she was about 2 1/2. A friend of mine had the same experience with her son, but just had another baby recently and is having a much harder time.

If you've nursed more than one, how did the experience compare? I'm really hoping this new little one is as good a nurser as my daughter was!
