I need some advice about night weaning

My LO has sttn a handful of times, we know that he can do it. But 95% of the time he wakes every couple of hours to nurse. he eats and goes right back to bed. Im torn, do I continue to pick him up and nurse him? or try to let him get back to sleep? He screams hysterically if I dont get him. wwyd?
