babies faces after delivery

I just had 2 friends give birth one week apart from each other. The one baby had a red, scrunched up face (vaginal delivery), and the other was smooth, wide eyed a few hours after birth (not sure how she delivered yet). why do some babies look all scrunched while some look "perfect" and ready to go? is it a matter of vaginal delivery vs c-section? or is it just how some of them look?
