(Possibly Dumb) Question about Fruits/Veggies

You were warned

 I know how important it is to wash your fruits and veggies... I had a friend who contracted Toxoplasmosis while pregnant and they think it was from produce, so so awful. BUT, how do you wash them? I just rinse really good and wipe dry, but I'm thinking maybe I need a veggie wash or a brush or something else? Does rinsing count as washing?
