I was pumping in the hospital to get my supply up while DD was in the NICU. Now that we are home I am breastfeeding and not doing any pumping.
I am thinking that in a few more weeks I may want to start pumping to just get one feeding onto a bottle a day/night so DH can feed her as well, or if I am out I don't have to worry about leaving her behind.
So my question is if I only want to supply 1 bottle of breast milk a day how much pumping could that take? Do I need to pump after every feed? Or just after 1 or 2? Or is it more of a learning curve to find out what my body requires? I am thinking if it means pumping after every feed then maybe it isn't worth the trouble.
TIA!
