When did you see the heartbeat?

Hi ladies!

I wondered if you could tell me when you first saw your baby's heartbeat and got a heart rate count? My clinic agreed to do my first u/s at 6 weeks 1 day - but cautioned that it's not common to see a heartbeat then...but I feel like I see a lot of posts here around that seem to be late week 5, early week 6.

Is it worth going in for the u/s? I don't want to be more worried, but I'm anxious too! Thoughts?
