not much with pump

I EBF my son and feed on demand.  I am trying to build a small stash for when I am away from baby.  I have been pumping once a day for a while now and I always only get 2-3 oz. each session.  I have tried to pump between 2-5 am as that is when you are supposed to make the most milk but I still only get 2-3 oz. LO eats on only one side at a time.  Any ideas on how to get more in a pumping session?  I always see on here that ladies get 4-5 oz a session.  Do you think it could be something with the pump or flanges?  I have pumped while feeding LO and it didnt seem to produce any more.
