Dumb ? - How do you feel when dilating?

OK this sounds goony but so far I have had some effacement but no dilation and last week I was feeling lower, more pressure, cramping, etc. and was excited for my appointment this week because I felt like I was making progress - no dice, still closed for business.

This got me thinking, for those of you that are STM or already dilated... did you feel different leading up to those changes?  Or was it something that took you by surprise?

I know everybody is different and am aware that people can go from nothing to dilating overnight, but I was just curious.
