Help changing nighttime schedule

At the end of the month, I'll be teaching two nights a week and won't be home until 9 pm.  DS won't take a bottle and lately wakes to nurse around 7:30-8:00.  Any advice on either dropping this feeding or postponing it?  I'm thinking I'll have DH start going in to try to calm him down at this time instead of automatically nursing him.  Maybe this will slowly move the feeding later into the night.  Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.
