Dry mouth, chapped lips

The last week or so I've been experiencing super dry mouth and chapped lips. I know this could be a sign of dehydration so I've tried to up my water intake which has helped some. I'm guessing the heating system in my house can also dry you out/fact that its winter. Anyone else in the same boat? My fear is that its a sign of GD and have my glucose test in a week.
