My DH and I recently applied for new life insurance and had the blood test associated with the application. I got the results back today and my triglycerides are more than double the highest part of the normal range. I read that it's normal for pregnant women to have elevated triglycerides (so normal that they don't even test for it during pregnancy) but is there a point where high is too high?
I called my OB and spoke with a nurse and she didn't seem too concerned but I've read that high triglycerides can cause Pre-E. Has anyone else had this problem and what did your OB say? My appointment isn't until next Wednesday. In the mean time I'm going to eat a lot of oatmeal! Does anyone know anything else that helps? I've never had high anything before!
