I am expecting my second child in July (my first will be 13 years old in January). I strictly bottle fed my son and never gave breastfeeding a second thought. Now that I am expecting again, I want to do it. I am concerned about a few things and hope someone with some knowledge on the subject can help me out:
1 - Does breast size play a role in ability to do it effectively? I have very large breasts (DDD) as I am overweight and I am worried about being able to position the baby in order to latch on without worrying I will restrict the airways.
2 - If you never breast fed with a previous child, can you do so with subsequent children? I am worried my body will dry my milk thinking I am not going to use it again. I already have some very minimal milk appearing now.
3 - Can breastfed babies be easily weaned when formula needs to be introduced? I plan to breastfeed until 6 months or at the first sign of teeth.
I am hoping to get some relief from these worries. Thanks!
