Growth spurt, needing food, or what?

My DD is 5 1/2 months. For the past two weeks, she has been eating every 1-2 hours during the day and 2-3 hours at night. Sometimes she will nurse for 30-45, whereas she had been nursing for 5-10 minutes. I thought at first it was the 6 month growth spurt a little early, but it has been 2 weeks already. I've always had somewhat of an oversupply, but I feel like I don't have enough milk. My boobs never feel full anymore (I guess becausevshe eats all the time. She doesn't fuss while eating, but seems hungry all the time. Is this a sign we need to start solids? To top it off, I've gotten my period back and letting her nurse all the time is hurting my sensitive nipples. Sorry for the rambling. I guess I just need some reassurance...
