Gestational diabetes :(

I had my glucose screening last week and they said I have gestational diabetes.  I was crushed!  They scheduled my appointment with the endocrinologist for January 3rd and I'm a little nervous.  Just curious as to anyone else who is has/had gestational diabetes with their pregnancies.  I tested my blood sugar with my MIL's diabetes kit about an hour after eating and I was only about 10 numbers over normal but when the doctor's office called with my results they were 90 numbers over normal so I'm not sure if that means I did something wrong or not!!
