Any Lactation Consultants/Nurses out there?

Just curious what your path was to get to the LC role.

I'm a nurse for almost 8 years with a background in Med Surg, Oncology, & Education. (No OB, GYN, L&D background, except nursing school!)

Got super passionate about breastfeeding when I had my son, and I'm starting to get the itch to do something new with my nursing career... any advice on how to go in that direction?
