Unlatching and crying

Hi everyone

My LO is now 3 months old and lately in the past week he will sometimes unlatch himself and cry. Sometimes if I switch sides he's fine or if I switch positions. One day though he wouldn't relatch on and would at times only drink from a bottle. I think he is teething because he is sucking on his hands more, his gums are a little swollen and I feel teeth below his gums. Is this just because of the teething or is there something else going on? He hasn't done this before and I believe that I don't have a fast let down or anything. What do you guys think?
