Tough kid

My kid took his first real tumble down the stairs last night. He goes down by himself all the time so I didn't actually see it happen but it had to have been at least a few steps. He cut his lip pretty bad. After 2-3 minutes of crying he wanted to go back to play and he didn't want help going down the stairs. He usually reaches for my hand. This time he slapped it away and said no. He was determined to show the stairs who was boss.

Anyone else have a tough kid story?
