Nursing to sleep

I have read that this is a milestone and she will eventually outgrow nursing to sleep, but wondering if anyone actually had that experience?

 My dd is 10 months old and will only go to sleep in carseat or be nursed to sleep, I used to be able to nurse her to sleep and then place her in crib, but now she wakes up most of the time I try this, I am reluctantly cosleeping, but would like to at least get a routine where she starts in the crib each night.

I tried some of Pantley method (although that was a little while ago so I may try again in the new year).

 I tried unsuccessfully to  introduce a lovey.

Any other ideas of things I can try?
