Gestational Diabetes ladies

So this morning I attempted to prick my finger for the first time n I was unsuccessful in having my blood come out even though the prick hurt as hell. It took me back to my ivf days. Had a melt down and just started crying. Anyway, GD ladies at what did you put the adapter thing with the needle? I had it on 1 and no blood. I don't even want to prick my finger 4x a day. Super frustrating.
