DS is only five days old so this is all still a bit new. However because of issues I wasn't able to bf the first two days and he was given formula bottles in the hospital. Now he's taking breast milk but its so difficult when it comes to latching on. We've been using a breast shield which helps a bit, but sometimes he gets so fussy with his hands he just rips it right off. And he doesn't stay latched on long enough before he gets frustrated. So I've been having to pump into bottles and feed him that way. Is there anything I can do to make latching on easier for him? It's very frustrating trying to bond and nurse your baby just for him to throw a fit and prefer a bottle.
