Breast Exams?

Hi...I went for my first PP appointment today and I was a little concerned that the doctor did not do a breast exam or even look at my breasts.  I was prescribed an antibiotic a week ago (still taking it) for signs of mastitis (I called my OB-GYN office last week and had talked to the nurse, and she asked a bunch of questions and then called in the prescription and gave me some other instructions but I didn't actually go into the office at that time.  So, with my appointment today,  I assumed that because of the possible mastitis and because everything I've read about "what to expect at the 6 week PP appointment" mentioned checking the breasts, they would definitely check the girls out.  But all I got was a quick pelvic exam and a "looks good, see you in a month".   Is this unusual?
