nbr: BFFs dad died

I posted not too long ago about my friends dad going to the hospital. I arranged to have dinner delivered to them one evening and it went over really well. They were excited to have some "normal" food and not worry about it themselves.

Last night she called to tell me her dad died. Since its so close to christmas I wanted to help out a little and do something nice. My husband suggested Omaha steaks, making up a little dinner care package? My friend isn't married and will probably be back and forth from her apartment for work and her moms house. My mom suggested to make my friend a little care package too... Like a free movie rental, some magazines, and gift card for pizza.

Any other suggestions?
