Buying a Breast Pump

I REALLY want to breastfeed. I read and hear about so many women that "can't" or they give up or their milk doesn't come in.

I hope that I can. My question is, is it smart to buy a breast pump now or wait? (in case I'm not successful, even though i'm going to work hard at it)

I put one on my registry - the Medela. I just don't know if it's wise to get one now or not. What do you think?
