Pregnant after IF

Are you planning to change any holiday traditions when LO arrives?

Our Christmas traditions are going to change when LO is old enough to understand Santa.  Currently we stay at MIL's Christmas Eve and spend the night.  We leave late morning and travel 2-3 hours to my mom's.  Its a long day.  We love the time with our families but it is not overly enjoyable because we are constantly running to somewhere else and displaced.  The boys don't mind because we open our family's gifts before Christmas.  They are 16 and 18.

As a child growing up, I never had Christmas at home.  I never had time to play with my toys.  It was always a rush to another house for another celebration.  I swore I wouldn't do this to my child.

DH has always agreed that we would not travel with LO.  Now that the time is actually coming, he is going to have to tell his mom (she lives the farthest whereas my parents are only 40 minutes away).  We want LO to wake up in his/her own bed and have Christmas in a calm manner and enjoy.
