nail polish?

Probably a really dumb question but my mom told me to ask my OB the next time I am in her office...

I am going in for a scheduled c-section and have my nails done (acrylic and paint) and am wondering if I will have to get it removed before I go in?

I told her I wasn't sure and she said that if you have surgery you can't have your nails done?

 

Is she just a looney or is she right? Can I have just a plain manicure?
