Rectal pressure?

Oh my goodness, is anyone else experiencing this?  My baby's head is really low and for the past week I've been feeling a lot of vaginal pressure every time she moves (feels like she is trying to push her head through) but now it is more of a rectal pressure.  Whenever the baby moves, I stop dead in my tracks because it hurts so much in my rectal area.  I've never experienced this kind of pressure except towards the end of labor right before pushing.  Anyone else experiencing this?  I talked to my midwife about this morning and she did not seem concerned...I only feel the pressure when the baby moves.
