Slings question

Does anyone have a suggestion of a nice and safe sling that wont cost me that much?

I got one from my MI, and it was the MOBY Wrap, when I opened it I almost cried thinking about how in the world I would wrap myself and  the baby every time  I would leave the house. That thing was gigantic and really unpractical. (Or at least it seemed so), So I returned it to BRU and decided to look for something else. To my surprise they didn't carry any other brands of slings, just regular baby carriers that I'm not sure it you can put a newborn on (because of their hips).

I always liked the slings and I have been looking for a good one, and found the Maya Wrap that has really good reviews but it's expensive, I also found other brands on Amazon  that are more affordable but I'm not sure if they are safe.

Does anyone have one that they would recommend? If I have to pay almost $80 I'd rather be sure it will be worth it.
