how to get bottle nipples clean?

I breast feed all the time, but if we're out like at walmart or the mall I pump in the car so if she gets hungry she can have a bottle, she takes them grudgingly... So I wash them in the dish washer, and they don't come out sticky, but after a while they feel sticky, is there a way to combat this sticky? My mom thinks we should start just hand washing them and no more dishwasher. I'm gunna try this, we don't use them all that often, so its not gunna be hard to hand wash the maybe 3 a week we have, but are there any other tricks to keep them from getting sticky?
