Road trip tips?

DH and I are on a road trip this weekend. Today we're driving 8.5 hours to San Antonio from New Orleans, and Sunday we're driving back DH's brother is gettjng married and I didn't have a lot of vacation days. I hate long car trips New Orleans to Houston is my normal limit and have a feeling this one will be rougher than previous trips. What tips do you have when driving long distances? I'd like to stop every two hours, but we can't make them long stops because we need to be there earlier in the evening for the rehearsal and dinner and despite leaving early, we have and will hit traffic along the way... Thanks!
