So, we did all the family history stuff, and the nurse asked if we wanted to try using the doppler.

Well...WE GOT TO HEAR BABY'S HEARTBEAT!!!

The appointment seemed so entirely pointless up to that point. But nurse said family history and everything looks great, and we both seem like very healthy people, so I am feeling pretty great about everything!
