First Appt not till 12 weeks?!

This is more of a rant them anything. I got my results from my lab work and then went to set up interviews. But I ran into a problem where they didn't even have openings for their "20 minute interview" until January 17th, which is their first opening to see a Midwife. So I took the midwife appointment instead.

Anyone else have to wait till 12 weeks? Besides being super anxious, I'm just under the impression that most women see an OB around the 8-10 week mark??
