BF and pumping at the same time...explain to me how this works

So, we are due in another month or so and I am starting to really stress about how breastfeeding will actually work out logistically.  Ideally I will BF exclusively for the first month, however after the first month I want to start BF and pumping, so that my husband (and others) can feed with breast milk in a bottle, and also in preparation for having to go back to work.  What I don't understand is...how do you feed the baby AND pump milk for bottles....it seems like you would have to do one or the other.  I don't want to pump and take any milk from what the baby needs for the next feeding.  

I would be so appreciative if some of you experienced BF moms could help me figure out a real plan to making this work!
