After-Vomiting Ritual?

Yesterday I vomited twice in an hour, which was... pleasant. Usually I vomit once in the evening, but yesterday was special, I guess.

My throat burned, but I was hungry so I ate anyway. I usually eat after vomiting because my stomach feels so empty. I've tried drinking instead, but that usually doesn't ward off the nausea.

I do brush my teeth & use mouthwash of course.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a sensible after-puking ritual? Is there a best food, drink, etc.? What kind of popsicles wouldn't be gross? Should I make my own Gatorade popsicles, or buy Pedialyte? Ice chips, or water? What about the burning?
