First Ultrasound HELP

Alright ladies. I went to my first official appt today with the ultrasound. Judging by my last period I should be 9 weeks. Background info: Ive never had regular periods and have been told I don't ovulate regularly. Also years ago I m/c b/c the baby's heart didn't form.

During the exam the nurse saw both sacs and a flicker. By what she saw I am measuring 6 weeks. She and the doctor said that the flicker was a positive sign and at this point I should be optimistic. They tested my hcg level today and I go again on Monday to do the same. Said if it's a normal pregnancy the levels should have doubled.

Has anyone experienced this?? What should I be thinking???
