Ob / Midwife

Hi Ladies,

I found out I was pregnant on Sunday (totally overjoyed!) and need help figuring out what to do next.  I've ordered prenatal vitamins and took a blood test at the lab in doc's office (results will come today).  My husband and I want to work with a midwife, so I'm in the process of putting together a short list of midwives to interview, which we'll hopefully be able to do over the next few weeks.  In the meantime, do I also need to find an OB for the first prenatal visit, or can that wait until we're established with a midwife - possibly after Christmas?  Do people ever have both a midwife and a backup OB?  

By the way, we conceived on 11/12, so I'm 2.5 weeks according to conception date and 4.5 weeks according to the LMP system.
