starting BF'ing late

I did a little BF'ing in the hospital and I think it went pretty well. But for various reasons we've been bottle feeding since then. Planning on trying to breastfeed at around 3 weeks when LO has built up some strength (he was a late pre-term baby). I have been pumping to get my supply going. Wondering if anyone has experience going from bottle to BF'ing with success. Any information would be helpful, thanks.
