How early to hear heartbeat on doppler?

How early was your doc able to hear the baby's heartbeat on a doppler?

 My doc had to change my 12 week appt which is supposed to be next week Monday, to Thursday this week!  As per LMP I would be 11.5 weeks but an ultrasound at week 8 measured the baby at 7 weeks so I figure I will only be 10.5 weeks at the appointment and I'm worried she won't be able to pick up a heartbeat and therefore make me paranoid for days while she tries to get me in for an ultrasound! At the week 7/8 ultrasound we heard a nice strong 150bpm heartbeat but I know the doppler isn't as sensitive. Did anyone else get to hear a doppler heartbeat earlier than 12 weeks?

 p.s. I know there is a risk baby is "hiding" too in which case then we wouldn't be able to hear a heartbeat but I just want to know the facts. Thanks!
