I found a work-at-home position (yes, at my company -- I swear I am destined to stay here forever). I have all the qualifications. I'm not really sure about the job description (I have to look into this more). The requirements of the job fit what I want. My vaca will be reinstated (I lost my paid time off when I went commission only). While the pay will be a bit decreased, it will be consistent and less stressful.
How do I justify wanting this position? Other than vacation time, decreased commute, decreased stress -- because this is all about me.
AND.... I accepted a new territory three months ago after heavy negotiations. I thought I would be happier in a new area. I'm not. I don't want to do this job anymore. I need to tell my boss and appear to not be an absolute flake to everyone.
The new position is an analysis position. I have the background for this and have been really missing this piece over the past few months.
