Metronidazole question....

I'm a little nervous to take this. I had to see a nurse practioner yesterday and she prescribed me Metronidazole 250 MG. By mouth twice a day. Some websites I read they are not sure it's ok to take during pregnancy and others I read it's ok. She also said that it "should" be ok. She didn't sound reassuring. I tried calling my doctor back to ask again, but they are closed. Anyone have any information on this????!! Have any of you ladies taken it? Especially in early pregnancy? I'm only 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow and very nervous about this.... Thanks in advance!
