Six month growth spurt, teeth, cold?

My lo is six months the last few days he's nursing like crazy. He just cut his first tooth and I think he has a little cold, his big brother does.
Is this a growth spurt or if he just comfort nursing? Or all of the above?? I feel like if its not a growth spurt my supply is dropping. Just wondering if you've all gone though a six month growth spurt?? My last son always ate every two hours so I never noticed.
