Tongue Tie

Today we met with a LC after noticing DS has a "click" when he nurses, as well as giving up after only a few minutes at the breast and other things. She determined that he was having difficulty keeping his latch (and drinking from a bottle) due to having a tongue tie and a more arched roof of his mouth.  We tried numerous positions and whatnot, and ultimately, are being sent for a consult with an Ear, Nose, and Throat pediatrician.  They will then decide if a frenotomy (clip) is needed.  Does anyone have experience with this and what did you decide to do?  I'm leaning more towards clipping, just because I've found articles with the LLL and Unicef that list all the benefits of clipping, but DH is a little hesitant about the procedure.
