3 days old - breastpump

For how long should I start pumping on each breast? I have the Medela one hand manual pump.

Also, how much does a newborn eat? would 1oz be enough?

Please, any help will be wonderful. I don't want to give up and give her formula. I'm so clueless and even with my own research I want to hear from real mothers what they feel is best.
