thawing milk ?

So last night I took some milk out for DH to feed LO while I was at work today. She only drank two of the four bottles worth of milk. I know the milk is good for 24 hours, but is that after it is completely thawed, or 24 hours after I take it out of the fridge? It was still Half frozen this morning. I hate to throw out six ounces of perfectly good milk. 

Also, is it normal for LO to eat less when I'm not home? She eats every two hours with me, but goes at least three hours with DH (3oz bottles, usually feeds 8-10 times a day)
