Nursing in public...

I've yet to nurse in public because Gibson sometimes takes a while to get latched and pulls off a lot.  I'm hoping he starts getting better at it since he's almost 2 months old.  In the meantime, what kind of nursing cover do you use?  I bought one from Target, I think it's made by Eddie Bauer, and I don't like it-it won't stay off of my body far enough for me to see what I'm doing.  So, I've either been nursing him in my car or feeding him a bottle of pumped milk or formula until I can get him home to nurse.
