When and what did they do?

How far along were you when you went in for your first preg. appt? What all did they do? Is it odd that they won't see me until 10 weeks? I really want to manipulate the system to at the very least get some bloodwork done before then, I just find this odd, my prev. two pregnancies I was in asap and they did blood work immediately.
