Very Odd Pet Peeve - Random

So I was browsing the boards and noticed the Baby Names board. Curious I went in and looked at the posts.

For some reason, I find it absolutely annoying that people ask strangers for their opinion on baby names.

It obviously happens a lot...but I personally don't get it lol 

The only opinions that matter are my DH's and my families, even my close friends. But when it really came down to it, I'm not sure if I could use a name that a complete stranger came up with or said "that's an awesome name!" Or even worse: I'd be afraid that a lot of people wouldn't like the name I love and then I wouldn't use it!

I know, it's a complete random post, and I'm not sure how much of it is driven by hormones....but just thought I'd share and see if I was the only one or not! (I'm really bored at work lol)
