Flu Rant

This is just a rant so discontinue reading if you are looking for some sound advice.  I had a virus a few weeks ago for less than 48 hours.  Had a mild feever and had major stomach bowel upset.  It was upseting to me because of the fever thing, but I took Tylenol and it never got over 100.  Anyways, this new "research" about the flu during pregnancy and autism just makes me mad.  I am a supporter of th flu shot but my provider wants me to wait until my second trimester (just a few more weeks).  What the heck is a mom supposed to do? Avoid all public situations? 

 

FYI - I had the flu shot with my DD during my second trimester with no issues.  She is currently 21 months.
