Breastfeeding

Venting

No offense to anyone that has made this choice on their own or who themselves felt like what the DH feels in the story I just heard from my DH. A coworker of his was going to try to EBF her second child. Poor LO had pneumonia right as he was born and the doc couldn't stress enough how important BM was for the premature baby. After battling with that for two weeks, they went home. She came back to work last week and my DH asked her husband, who also works there, if she's still nursing. The DH laughed and said oh no way. Those are mine and I was sick of seeing a baby attached to them. She quit after four weeks.

Again, I am not saying those who try and cannot or who choose for sanity or other reasons to not EBF are wrong, but I thought DH was kidding. He said no, her husband was serious and then the husband laughed at those crazy men who LET their wives bf for a year. My DH said oh well my wife is still going strong and walked away.
