Telling family, need opinions

Thursday the 15th is my ultrasound to date the pregnancy.  We've decided that we're good with telling people any time after that, just trying to figure out if I can at least wait until my best friend arrives from Belarus on Dec 9 so she doesn't have to find out on FB.

Anyway, the plan is to give my parents and his parents each a photo book of Emily "for Christmas".  The very last page will have this written on it, next to a covered picture.

 Dear Grandma & Grandpa,
I came into this world
With so much haste.
I knew you were here
So no time to waste!
You adore me so much,
And it really shows.
Our family is love,
And love only grows.
We love you so much,
Mommy, Daddy, and me.
We got you a gift
But it's not under the tree.
You can't have it just yet,
It's backordered...oh, poo.
But lift the flap...
Guess what we got you!
